These are two unpainted
metal 28mm scale Roman Legion figures. There is some
assembly required (e.g.: glueing the shield to the figure).
The photo below is for illustration only.
The Legion Commander
was called a Legate and was in charge of the entire
Legion, which could contain about 5000 soldiers. The
Aquilifer was a senior officer responsible for the golden
eagle, the most important banner for the entire Legion.
The Eagle represented the honor (and loyalty) of the
Legion and if it was captured by an enemy Rome would
even go to war to reclaim it.
